NEWS RELEASE Contact: Dan Alf (310) 513-7353 dan_alf@denso-diam.com For Immediate Release November 2, 2009 DENSO Offers Highly Competitive Compressor Program for 2010 The Company Enhances its Factory New Program with Coreless Compressors LONG BEACH, Calif. Ð In an effort to meet customer requirements, DENSO substantially improved its First Time Fit¨ automotive air conditioning compressor program. The company converted its remanufactured compressors to coreless, providing an attractive compliment to its existing factory new offering. DENSO reduced pricing an average of 28 percent on remanufactured compressors and an average of 17 percent across the entire program. In January the company announced the conversion of 84 percent of its program from remanufactured compressors to factory new. Beginning with the 2010 program, all First Time Fit¨ remanufactured compressors will be coreless. The coreless conversion enhances the lineÕs cost-effectiveness by eliminating core charges and the costs associated with their collection, storage and return. The coreless conversion affects many of DENSOÕs key designs, including SB/SBU, SE and scroll compressors. Applications affected include many popular import vehicles. The heart of DENSOÕs program continues to be its lineup of factory new compressors, which now cover 85 percent of the program. DENSO provides more than 200 factory new part numbers for domestic and import applications. The 2010 program adds 40 part numbers covering 611 applications for 5.6 million import and domestic vehicles. DENSO continues upgrading its program to help distributors contend more effectively in the increasingly competitive compressor market. Conversion to coreless, an emphasis on factory new units and more competitive pricing make the DENSO compressor line a very attractive choice for distributors, technicians and vehicle owners.
