Kazumasa Kimura

Kazumasa Kimura is chief operating officer (COO) of DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM), DENSO’s North American headquarters, and executive director of Japan-based DENSO Corp. As COO of DIAM, Kimura will oversee DENSO’s overall sales operations in North America.

Prior to being appointed to these roles, Kimura was director of the Global Sales and Business Development Division at DENSO Corp where he was responsible for global Original Equipment sales and marketing. 

In 1984, Kimura began his career in the Hiroshima Sales Division at DENSO Corp. (formerly Nippondenso Co., Ltd.), where he was responsible for sales and marketing for Mazda.

After serving in various roles in the Sales and Marketing Group, Kimura was transferred to DENSO AUTOMOTIVE Deutschland in 2001. He was later promoted to the company’s managing director in 2007, where he was responsible for overseeing sales and marketing to German car manufacturers. In 2009, Kimura returned to Japan and was named director of the Global Sales and Business Development Division.

In addition to being named COO of DIAM, Kimura was also named one of DENSO Corp.’s executive directors in June 2011.

Kimura earned a bachelor’s degree from Keio University in Tokyo. After graduation, he joined DENSO Corp. in 1984.
