Bob Booker is senior manager of Legal Services and Corporate Compliance for DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc., in Maryville, Tenn.  He oversees the companyŐs legal, environmental engineering, safety & health, community relations, communications and ethics departments.  

Prior to joining DENSO in 1994, Booker served four years as an intelligence officer for the U.S. Army.  He also has previous work experience with Lockheed Martin Corporation and the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.  

Booker earned his bachelorŐs degree in Business Management from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and is an honors graduate of the George C. Taylor School of Law at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.  Currently, he serves as an adjunct faculty member teaching government compliance at the University of Tennessee.

In 2007, Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen appointed Booker to the Tennessee Solid Waste Disposal Control Board.  The Board oversees solid and hazardous waste enforcement, permitting, and fee structure actions for the state of Tennessee.   

Booker is an active member of the community, formerly serving as vice president for both the Little River Watershed Association and Keep Blount Beautiful.  He currently is a member of the board of directors for the Blount County Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  For the past several years, Booker has been chairman of the communityŐs annual Earth Roundup activities and now serves as chairman of the board of directors for the Richard Williams Leadership Academy youth program.
