JEANNETTE WIDMAN

Jeannette Widman is supervisor of the Environmental Department at DENSO Manufacturing Athens Tennessee (DMAT), Inc., in Athens, Tenn.  In this role, she helps ensure compliance with government environmental regulations, coordinates environmental management activities in support of corporate goals, and oversees the operation of on-site industrial wastewater pre-treatment facilities.  

Widman joined DENSO in 1999 as an Advanced Specialist and she later was promoted to her current role as supervisor in 2003.

Prior to joining DENSO, Widman served as an environmental and safety specialist with BorgWarner Inc, where she was responsible for environmental and safety compliance and management activities.  Widman also has more than 15 years of experience in environmental compliance and management in private industry and consulting.

Widman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health Science from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky., and a Masters of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Md.  

Widman is a certified hazardous materials manager by the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management.
