Chrome for Macintosh is not supported for use with remote access.  A technical excerpt from the Chromium project website is described here.

Future Plan 64-bit

Many plugins on the Mac are still 32-bit only; because Safari and Firefox both support 32-bit plugins out of process in 64-bit mode, there is little incentive for plugin vendors to release 64-bit plugins. For many of the long-tail plugins, doing so is impossible until they first update to newer drawing and event models. Because of this, any 64-bit Mac Chromium release will need to support 32-bit plugins.”

In layman’s terms:

A 64-bit browser (Safari for example) is required to run Java 7 on Mac OS X. 32-bit browsers such as Chrome do not support Java 7 on the Mac platform.
