DENSO U.S. Companies: COVID-19 Benefits Summary, Resources

Blue Cross Blue Shield/Health Benefits

  • Providing full cost coverage of medically necessary COVID-19 tests and treatment prescribed by physicians, following CDC guidelines. This includes temporarily waiving the deductible, copays and coinsurance for COVID-19 testing and treatment through June 30.
  • Waiving prior authorizations for diagnostic tests and for covered services related to COVID-19 that are medically necessary, if the physician follows the CDC guidelines in prescribing tests.
  • Waiving cost-sharing for Blue Cross Online Visits (telemedicine) through June 30. This service allows you to consult with physicians from your home using a computer, smartphone, tablet or telephone.
  • Providing Coronavirus FAQs for members

OptumRx

  • Early refill restrictions have been removed to allow earlier refills for maintenance medications.
  • Prior authorizations that are due on or before May 1, will be extended for an additional 90 days from the current due date.
  • Refill quantity limits for some specialty medications will be increased up to an additional supply for 30-90 days.

OptumRx is experiencing a higher than normal call volume. For support or to request an extra refill of your medication, members should go online to “My Prescriptions” at optimrx.com or call 855-41-DENSO and use the automated voice system.

Employee Assistance Program
