DIAM COVID-19 Update (March 23, 2020)
The following is only applicable to associates on a DIAM campus.
The impact COVID-19 is having on all of us continues to change radically and quickly.
Today, Michigan’s Governor Whitmer announced a stay home/stay safe executive order for all Michigan residents. The order runs from Tuesday, March 24 at 12:01 am through 11:59 pm on April 13. You can read the full order here: Michigan.gov/Coronavirus and CDC.gov/Coronavirus
What is a stay home/stay safe executive order?
This order means that residents must remain at home except for certain circumstances including:
- Buying food, gas or medicine
- Seeking medical care
- Walking your dog or taking a pet to the vet
- Taking a walk
What this means to DENSO
We are working closely with our local government and industry association partners to better understand what stay home/stay safe orders mean for DENSO and our operations.
We are investigating:
- Impacts on our customers and suppliers in Michigan and other parts of the United States
- Parts of manufacturing that may be considered critical, in addition to automotive aftermarket and service manufacturing
- Roles and responsibilities critical to business operations, such as facility maintenance, building security, IT infrastructure to support work from home, and payroll.
- Treatment for pay after this week for associates unable to work from home
Unless your manager has informed you today that you need to work on any DIAM campus in Michigan, stay home/stay safe.
