Last week, we learned of three (3) associates from our DIAM Southfield campus who tested positive for COVID-19.
We have cleaned and sanitized all areas where these associates worked according to CDC guidelines. All associates who were identified as in close contact with these individuals were notified and are following company policy prior to returning to work. We ask that you respect confidentiality, even if you believe you know who these associates are. Please join us in wishing for their quick recovery.
As of December 11, we have had 131 new positive COVID-19 diagnoses at DENSO affiliates in North America. That brings our total to 1,569 positive diagnoses across the region.
Last week, one local health department investigation determined a likely workplace exposure at DENSO Manufacturing Athens Tennessee. We have conducted a full investigation, strengthened our social distancing and face covering guidelines, and reinforced with all associates the importance of closely following all safety measures.
In addition, we are deeply saddened to report that we have lost an associate to complications of COVID-19. This can be a deadly virus, and we all need to maintain a focus on safety, at work and outside work.
