DIAM: COVID-19 Weekly Case Count – Jan. 15-22, 2021

DENSO International America, Inc.
Weekly COVID-19 Case Update

Today, we learned that one (1) associate from DIAM Southfield location was diagnosed with COVID-19. The associate works in DN1-4 and was last on the DIAM Southfield campus in August 2020. They received a positive diagnosis on January 17, after experiencing symptoms on January 12.

Because the associate has not been on-site since August, there is no need for additional cleaning and sanitizing. Please respect confidentiality, even if you believe you know who the individual is. They are quarantining at home; please join us in wishing for their full recovery.

DENSO North America
Weekly COVID-19 Case Update

This week, 133 additional positive COVID-19 diagnoses were reported at DENSO affiliates in North America. This brings our total to 2,412 positive diagnoses throughout Canada, Mexico and the United States (U.S.). Thankfully, there was a flattening or decreasing number of cases at most DENSO facilities this week.

Following local case investigations, most were classified as community spread (household, gatherings, travel, etc.). There are five cases in Mexico this week that investigations are unable to determine the source of exposure.

Country This Week’s Cases Total Positive Diagnosis Number of Deaths Exposed in Community Exposed at DENSO Unable to Determine Under Investigation

MX 64 1063 3 1009 38 16 0
CN 1 5 0 5 0 0 0
NA TOTALS 133 2412 7 2336 52 24 0

Exposed in Community – transmission attributed to community or home

Exposed at DENSO – transmission attributed to DENSO site contact

Unable to Determine – cannot confidently determine the source of exposure after thorough investigation (may have been exposed outside or inside of work)

Under Investigation – investigation is on-going both internally as well as with county health departments
