On Sept. 30, DIAM learned that one associate from our Southfield campus tested positive for COVID-19. The associate has not been on campus since Sept. 8. Because of the length of time since this individual was on campus, there is no need for additional cleaning and disinfecting per CDC protocol. We ask that you respect confidentiality, even if you believe you know who this person is. Please join us in wishing for their quick recovery.
From Sept. 25- Oct. 2, we have had 45 new positive COVID-19 diagnoses at DENSO affiliates in North America. That brings our total to 677 positive diagnoses across the region.
This week, we have confirmed that one (1) associate contracted the virus at work in Mexico. Our investigation identified that an associate who later tested positive for COVID-19 worked in close proximity with a colleague for a prolonged period. That colleague was also later diagnosed with COVID-19. We have reinforced the necessary safety measures that all associates need to follow while at work.
