DIAM: New Security Gates, Updated Process for Coming to Southfield Campus

To improve campus safety, security arm gates and an entry card reader have been installed at the guard shack on the DIAM Southfield campus. Starting Friday, Dec. 18, associates will be required to badge in at the card reader for campus entry. See below for details and updated process for associates and visitors coming to DIAM Southfield campus.

Associate Process

  • There are two (2) entry arm gates with a card reader by the guard shack on Denso Drive. Associates must use their badge to activate and open the gates.
  • By using associate ID Badge to enter the campus, associates are certifying that they have completed the required COVID-19 Daily Health Screening Survey prior to coming to campus*.
  • Each associate is required to badge through the security gate first, and then self-scan their temperature at their building entrance.
    • If you are going to Shipping & Receiving, you must stop by a self-scan temperature check in one of the other buildings before going to S&R. A self-scan thermal camera is not available in the S&R building.
    • If you are going to DN1-4, you must badge through the security gate first before proceeding to the Tech Center.
  • There are two (2) exit arm gates by the guard shack exit. Gates will automatically open when a vehicle is approaching the exit (no badge needed).
  • Please use caution when approaching the card reader and gates.

*The COVID-19 Daily Health Screening Survey is required by law. Associates must complete the survey prior to every campus visit.

  • Security may conduct periodic checks at the guard shack to confirm associates completed the COVID-19 Daily Health Screening Survey. Prepare for these checks by keeping a screenshot confirmation of your survey completion on your mobile device.
  • Security will periodically cross-check COVID-19 Daily Health Screening Survey completion records with associate ID badge scans to confirm associates have completed the screening.
  • Associates found not completing the survey will be asked to leave campus and may face disciplinary action.
  • The screening survey is available on DENSO Mobile, DENSO Online under Coronavirus section (password: denso2020), or online at: densomedia-na.com/coronavirus/survey/

Visitor Process

  • All visitors will need to check-in with Security in the Tech Center Lobby to receive a visitor badge.
  • DENSO associates hosting a visitor must meet them at the Tech Center lobby and escort them to the building they are planning to visit. DIAM escort must be with the visitor at all times.
  • Visitors are also required to complete the COVID-19 Daily Health Screening Survey and temperature check. Click here for more information about COVID-19 visitor process, including required visitor forms and approvals (password: denso2020).
  • During business hours (Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm), a Security officer will be at the guard shack to allow delivery vehicles and visitors access after they have checked in with Tech Center Security.
    • No deliveries or visitors will be permitted during holiday shutdown, Dec. 24 – Jan. 3, 2021.

These security measures ensure only authorized vehicles enter campus, and allow our Security personnel to respond to incidents and conduct more frequent mobile patrols around the campus perimeter. Combined, these efforts improve the safety of our associates, and DENSO physical and intellectual property.
