DIAM: Process for Reserving DIAM Southfield Pool Vehicles

The process below is applicable to all those reserving a pool vehicle at DIAM Southfield campus.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Administrative Services modified the process for DIAM Southfield pool vehicles to allow for adequate time to thoroughly sanitize vehicles between reservations. Please use the following process, noting highlighted details, for future pool vehicle reservations.

Pool Vehicle Process

  • Associate reserves vehicle in the IBM Notes DIAM Vehicle Reservations database (you must be connected to the DENSO network on campus or remotely through VPN or VDI to access IBM Notes databases). If you’re unable to access, contact Administrative Services.
  • Associate emails reservation to Administrative Services: Patty Simigian and Victoria Cavaliero. Please notify at least 24 hours in advance of reservation.
  • Once Administrative Services receives approval from the associate’s manager, they coordinate pick-up details with the associate.
  • Associate picks up the vehicle at Building 6 in front of shipping and receiving (6-foot social distancing is observed).
  • Associate returns the vehicle to Building 40, in the back of associate parking lot (parking spots along the tree line). This allows for 48 hours to sanitize and return the vehicle to Building 6.
  • Associate returns vehicle keys and completed reservation form (with ending mileage) in an envelope to the Administrative Services mail slot in Building 40.
  • Associate emails Administrative Services the date and time keys were returned.

When determining the size of vehicle needed, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • Sedan: limited to 1 occupant.
  • SUV: maximum 2 occupants; each occupant must wear a mask and one must be seated in the rear seat.
  • Van: up to 3 occupants; all must wear a mask and there should only be one person seated in each row.
