DIAM Southfield: Reopening Plans & Process for Coming to Campus
Below is detailed information about DIAM Southfield reopening and process for coming to campus, effective now – Oct. 31, 2020.
DIAM Southfield will remain in DENSO’s Phase 1B of reopening through Oct.31, 2020:
- The only associates on campus are those whose jobs require on-site work, those who can only achieve 100% value from being on-site.
- All associates who can achieve 100% value from home should continue to work from home.
- This follows the Governor’s reopening directions, and ensures we minimize the number of associates on campus, keeping those associates who need to work on-site as safe as possible.

Limited Access to Buildings 10 & 20
In order to provide concentrated support for higher-use areas (frequent cleaning, trash removal, etc.), we will be reducing or eliminating operations in low-use areas.
Buildings 10 and 20 are low-use areas. You’ll notice the following changes in these buildings:
- Conference rooms are locked
- Only the lobby restroom is available
- Common areas are closed
- Trash bins have been removed
- Refrigerators are off, unavailable
- Air intake is set to 80 degrees
Limited access to Buildings 10 and 20 is available to pick up mail/packages from the first floor, or to pick up needed files or equipment from your desk. If you need to conduct extended work in Building 10 or 20, contact Mark Trudeau (248-388-4056), or Dave Cooper (248-941-5078), 24 hours in advance of your visit.
A flexible office space is available in Building 30, first floor. This is the preferred area for those from Building 10 or 20 who need to work on campus. This space is an open address space, available to all associates who need alternate workspace. No need to reserve or sign-up, please drop-in and use as needed. If files or equipment need to be relocated here to support daily work, contact Campus Operations: Mark Trudeau (248-388-4056), or Dave Cooper (248-941-5078).
Based on our weekly count, please know we are able to maintain social distancing and safety protocols in high-use areas. Associate safety is our top priority and we will continue to ensure social distancing and safety protocols are met first before reducing or eliminating use of buildings/areas on campus.
5S Cleaning Standard & Schedule
Campus Operations is working with leadership on a campus-wide 5S cleaning standard and schedule to better centralize files, equipment and materials. This will allow us to continue to identify and reduce support of low-use areas, and better focus our efforts on high-use areas with more frequent cleaning, trash removal, heating/cooling, and other support.
