We Know You’re Excited, But…
Kevin shared just a few details last Friday about a new manufacturing project with a major automaker. Those of you working in the facility have likely seen amazing things happen in just a few weeks to get ready for start of production. We are incredibly proud of the work we’re doing, your exceptional contributions to it and our collective ability to help fight the spread of this virus.
BUT, we are not yet able to talk about this project publicly. And especially not to the news media, or on social media. Doing so is a breach of our contract and a distraction from our intense efforts to get these potentially life-saving products out the door.
Please trust that we will share more details when we can, and keep any details you have heard (officially AND unofficially) within the DENSO family at this time.
No New Cases at DMMI
To date, we have only been informed of the one positive COVID-19 case we announced last Saturday. While the virus continues to spread, we have dramatically reduced the number of people on campus and put several new risk reduction programs into place. In short, we’re doing our part to “flatten the curve” and hope that these efforts will lower infection rates among our people, and our community.
We will share any risk to associates, and continue to point our team members to local and federal government sources of information including the CDC and the State of Michigan COVID-19 information sites. Please do your part to practice social distancing and excellent hand and cough hygiene to keep yourself and the community safe from further spread.

Paid Leave for COVID-19 Cases
DENSO is offering associates a one-time, paid COVID-19-related leave for up to 14 consecutive days (10 business days). This leave is retroactive to the beginning of March, and will be paid based on what your peer group (hourly or exempt, 100% or 80%) is being paid during the time period you are on leave. A brief overview is below, with additional, detailed information attached to today’s update.
COVID-19-related leave is for associates who:
Associates are required to have doctor’s documentation confirming exposure/diagnosis to COVID-19 and the order to self-quarantine or isolate from others. Documentation must include a start date, end date, and criteria for safely returning to work.
401(k) Investment Communication for Market Volatility
Empower Retirement has prepared a document to describe and explain market volatility for associates.

Associate FAQ
Q: Traditionally, wage changes for plant associates come out this time of year. And I needed a class that got canceled for my upcoming EDGE promotion. Are those things on hold?
A: Yes, all wage and promotion programs are on hold at this time. When we have clearer information about the impact of the pandemic on our business, sales, and the broader economy, we will make decisions about how to move forward. Thank you for understanding.
PLEASE STAY WELL AND SAFE!
