Temporary Worker Reduction
DMMI has made the difficult decision to reduce a large number of temporary workers effective April 24. Each agency is notifying its impacted employees of this action and are supporting their employees with additional information and options that may be available. Those temporary agency workers will be paid this week as previously announced. Some contractors will continue with DMMI.
Many of our associates began their DENSO career as a temporary, and know how essential these teammates have been to our success. This is a sad decision, but as business needs change and production volumes increase, we are confident temporary workers will again play an important role in our operations.
This reduction is across North America and does impact hundreds of families. We are constantly working with our customers to understand their situations and its impact on our operations. DENSO leaders are continually working to balance our commitment to support all associates while maintaining the stability of our company during this global pandemic.
