DMMI – Tuesday, March 24 Update: DMMI Response to COVID-19 (coronavirus)

This information is cross-posted to DENSO Mobile. On-site leaders, please share with associates who do not have DENSO email.

As we communicated on Monday evening, we are investigating the impacts of the State of Michigan stay home/stay safe order on our customers, suppliers and overall operations. An announcement about our operations and associate pay will be released Wednesday. Today, we can share:

COVID Update
As of Tuesday, March 24 at 4:00 p.m, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases at DMMI or our local affiliates. We are committed to transparency and will inform all associates of any changes. Please know there is a plan in place should this occur.

DENSO in the Community
We are pleased to announce the donation of hundreds of N95 masks to our local healthcare system, Bronson Battle Creek. DENSO’s North American Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) team also donated more than a thousand masks to healthcare and first responders in Metro Detroit.

Critical Associate Documentation
DMMI Leaders are compiling lists of associates and contractors required for critical operations this week and throughout the State of Michigan stay home/stay safe order extending through April 13. This list will be used by on-site Security to determine who will have access to the main DMMI campus.

Coming to Work Healthy
As critical production continues, please self-report any possible exposure to your leader. If you feel sick, please DO NOT come to work and put others at risk. Instead, please call your leader and choose one of the following options to get further guidance from a medical professional:

  • Call the DENSO Family Health Center (269-965-3465
  • BCBS members can call the 24-hour nurse line at 1-800-775-2583 or utilize the online doctor visit at bcbsmonlinevisits.com
  • Contact your doctor
If guidance from the medical professional is for you to stay home, inform your leader ASAP and keep them updated on your status.

Thank you for staying in touch as we navigate these uncertain times. Please stay well, and continue keeping the health of our associates, their families, our communities and the country at the top of your mind.
