We are committed to sharing regular updates on COVID-19 with you. Please see information below about positive COVID-19 cases at KDMK and DMNC.
On May 28, KYOSAN DENSO Manufacturing Kentucky (KDMK) was notified that an associate working at the facility tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was last at the KDMK facility on May 18, during first shift.
We have thoroughly cleaned the facility per KDMK’s Safety Policy, and all areas the associate had prolonged contact with have been sanitized. We consulted with the Montgomery County Health Department and our medical professionals and determined no notifications needed to take place. Because of the timing the associate was last at KDMK, the standards for physical barriers and the requirement of wearing face coverings, it was advised by the Montgomery Health Department that other associates are not considered to have been in close contact with the diagnosed person at work. This means the Health Department has not recommended that any associates isolate. We do ask that associates continue to closely monitor their personal health at home and follow screening procedures before entering the facility.
On May 26, we were notified that a DENSO Manufacturing North Carolina (DMNC) Greenville associate tested positive for COVID-19. The associate had not been on DMNC’s campus since May 7. We do not believe this case and the case from May 22 are related, based on timing and where these associates work within the facility. We consulted with our medical professionals and since it’s been more than 14 days since this associate was on campus, no notifications are required per CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines. We have thoroughly cleaned the facility per DENSO’s Safety Policy.
Please respect confidentiality, even if you believe you know who these individuals are. The associates are in quarantine at home; join us in wishing for their quick recovery.
