Mental Health Resources – returning to work

In the near future, you or someone in your household will probably be returning to the workplace. While this is a positive step, it may cause stress and anxiety for you and/or your loved ones. The CDC has developed ways to identify stress and tips for building resilience and managing stress as you return to an on-site work setting. The tips include:

  • Communicating with co-workers and managers about things causing stress and work together to find a solution
  • Developing a consistent daily routine – a regular sleep schedule, time outdoors, regular breaks from work – to increase your sense of control
  • Limiting the amount of time spent reading, watching or listening to news about COVID-19 (this includes social media)
  • Remembering everyone is dealing with the same, unusual situation

The DENSO Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides resources and support for many issues including mental health, family conflict, domestic violence and financial hardship. For more information, go to the Benefits website, use code “denso,” and click COVID-19 at the top. EAP info and resources can be found along the left-hand side.

If you are experiencing a serious mental health episode, you can apply for FMLA and/or short-term-disability through our standard benefits process. For details, contact your local Benefits or TMS representative.

Stay safe and healthy, both mentally and physically.
