NA: COVID-19 Positive Diagnoses (May 28-June 18, 2020)

There have been 10 new positive COVID-19 diagnoses at group companies in North America from May 28 through June 18, 2020.

Company Number of positive diagnoses
DENSO Manufacturing North Carolina—Michigan 1
KYOSAN DENSO Manufacturing Kentucky 2
DENSO Manufacturing Athens Tennessee 1
DENSO Manufacturing Mexico—Apodaca 2
Air Systems Mexico 2
DENSO Manufacturing Arkansas 1
DENSO Manufacturing Michigan 1

Each company has cleaned and sanitized the areas where these associates work or had contact with, according to DENSO’s safety protocols. All associates who were in close contact with these individuals have been notified and are self-quarantining. This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 diagnoses in DENSO in North America to 23.

We wish each of these associates a speedy recovery.

While the situation in each state and country is slowly improving, COVID-19 has not disappeared, and we need to remain vigilant. This is still a contagious and dangerous virus, although the great majority of those who become infected are able to recover. That’s why it’s critical that we all do our part to maintain the highest safety standards. DENSO will continue the safety protocols that are already in place (health screening and temperature checks, social distancing markers and partitions, cleaning and disinfecting regularly, etc.). Each of us needs to keep up our protocols, including wearing a face mask or shield; maintaining social distancing when we can’t wear  a mask, like when eating or smoking; washing our hands for at least 20 seconds, and cleaning our work spaces before and after our shifts.

Even as restrictions are being lifted in some communities, we encourage you to follow these same safety measures outside the office as well, until this virus is eradicated or a vaccine is available to all.

Finally, all associates should continue to closely monitor their personal health at home and follow screening procedures before entering the facility.
