NA: International Business Travel Approval Process Updated

We’ve strengthened the review process for international business travelers.  The travel policy and form have been updated on DENSO Online to reflect these changes.

The updated policy language notes:

At this time, travel to another country is not allowed. 

If there is a critical business need, complete the  “Travel Approval: COVID-19 (single trip)” form and send it to Melissa Smith and covid@na.denso.com.  Government Affairs will confirm the hospitalization rate and ICU capacity at your travel destination. You must submit this information with your Travel Approval Form to the North American President & CEO Seiji Maeda. If the CEO is unavailable, North America Senior Director approval is accepted.

All international travel requires CEO or Senior Director approval, so trips will continue to be limited to only the most critical circumstances.

Effective immediately, travel to Mexico, even for business critical reasons, is suspended. This is to help ensure the safety of all associates, as the number of COVID-19 cases in Mexico is high and there is limited availability of hospital beds.
