NA: Safety, Return to Work Pulse Survey Results and Actions

We recently distributed a survey to understand your questions, concerns or hesitations in returning to the workplace. Thank you to all who responded.

We have reviewed the responses and identified reoccurring topics that are top-of-mind when transitioning to our new normal at work. Following are those topics as well as actions to address each.

Key response topics Actions
Overall awareness of safety protocols (ex. wearing masks) for returning to work
  • ONGOING – Risk minimization playbook with detailed procedures and process in place at each site to keep associates safe
  • IN PROGRESS – Weekly email series focused on precautions, hygiene and behaviors to keep everyone safe
  • IN PROGRESS – HR is developing NA guidelines for addressing situations that are not in compliance with risk minimization playbook
Additional support for managers and associates
  • ONGOING – HR launched a training program for managers to help with managing remote workers and flexible work arrangements
  • ONGOING – Mental health resources emailed to associates and available on the mobile app and DENSO Online
  • IN PROGRESS – NAHR is developing a regional work-from-home policy and will be scheduling focus groups with a sample of managers to receive their feedback
Concerns with associates not complying with safety protocols in the workplace IN PROGRESS – HR is developing NA guidelines for addressing situations that are not in compliance with risk minimization playbook
Appreciation of opportunity to provide feedback In Progress – HR is developing a third associate pulse survey
Continue sharing positive stories to foster associate connection and engagement
  • ONGOING – Communication of actions associates are taking to support their local communities
  • ONGOING – Discussing opportunities to keep associates connected and engaged (ex. leader thank you videos and DIAM’s “at home coworker” video)
