DENSO Opens New Innovation Lab in Pittsburgh

We announced today we’ve opened a new research and development (R&D) center – this one in Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Innovation Lab will focus on developing the technology that will make automated driving a widespread reality. COVID-19 has shown us the important role autonomous vehicles can play to improve safety.

Moreover, this new Innovation Lab strengthens our Second Founding, which is rooted in completely reshaping transportation. It also stems from our mission to offer safe and secure mobility solutions for everyone.

This is the sixth R&D center we’ve opened to further automated driving, among other mobility innovations and emerging technologies. In Pittsburgh, which is a growing tech hub, we’ll focus on Level-4 automated driving and work closely with local universities and companies.
