Happy New Year to all DPAM associates. I hope everyone has wonderful winter holidays.
Since the day DPAM transitioned from DSCA, we have been transforming ourselves. We became more profit-focused in the latter half of fiscal year 2015, and our profitability has been improving. For FY 2016, we set our own “challenge” profit target of 3.5 percent and are well on our way. Based on our latest projections, we are now at 3 percent.
Executive management is optimistic we will reach the challenge goal by the end of FY 2016. Doing so is crucial to achieving our future goal of becoming a sustainable company.
In last year’s New Year’s message, I talked about how important good internal communication is to the success of our company. Do you believe communication has improved?
Since September, we have also promoted the mindset of “change.” The only way to become a more profitable and sustainable company in the future is to keep improving and changing on our own. There is no progress if we stay the same and do everything the way we always have. Most importantly, each individual must embrace and initiate change for all of us to move forward as a group.
Let’s make changes together in the new year. As always, I welcome your ideas.
