Automated Driving: A Reality Check at the National Press Club
As a leader in advanced driving control and safety technologies that are paving the way to automated driving, DENSO International America, Inc. presented Automated Driving: A Reality Check on June 18, 2015, at the Washington Automotive Press Association Luncheon held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Fully autonomous vehicles aren’t going to happen overnight; the industry must address different levels of automation before fully autonomous vehicles can safely be deployed. Doug Patton, who oversees all North American product engineering and development at DENSO, discussed the company’s leadership in V2X technology and its plans to safely reach tomorrow’s fully autonomous vehicles. Patton is executive vice president of Engineering, chief technical officer of DENSO International America, Inc. and senior director of DENSO Corp.
