Carl Vaughn is the supplier diversity lead for the North American Purchasing Group at DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM), DENSO’s North American headquarters, located in Southfield, Michigan.
Vaughn is responsible for expanding DENSO’s Supplier Diversity Initiative (DSDI) by developing and nurturing a diverse supply base to support our North American manufacturing facilities. The DSDI’s goal is to increase economic vitality and sustainability to all of the communities, in which we live, work and play.
Vaughn began his career with DENSO in 1991 as a senior sales engineer. He was responsible for sales management of On/Off Highway Heavy Duty customers and focused on engine electrical, engine management systems and sensors. He also held multiple sales manager positions at DENSO from 1994 to 2010.
Prior to Vaughn’s career at DENSO, he worked as a sales engineer for Flotronics, a stocking distributor of pneumatic automation products. He was responsible for the design and sales of pneumatic systems for manufacturing.
Vaughn received a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Manufacturing Technology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
