Daniel “Dan” Ronayne is director of Powertrain Components (PTC) at DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM). Located in Southfield, Michigan, Ronayne manages design and application engineering activity for Evaporative Emissions products, air management products and hydraulic control products. He is responsible for developing and managing the engineering organization and product strategy for supporting these products in the North American market.
Ronayne joined DENSO in 2006 as a senior application engineer focusing on customer support of air induction system business for the Detroit 3 and Toyota. He also was responsible for supporting air induction system customer launches and business expansion activities. Ronayne was promoted to senior staff engineer in 2008. In 2009 he was promoted to engineering manager of PTC group products. In 2013, Ronayne was promoted to engineering senior manager.
Before working at DENSO, Ronayne worked at Chrysler for nine years, starting as a quality and then as a product engineer, supporting engine machining and assembly operations. He was then promoted to product design engineer, then to product engineering supervisor.
In 1995, Ronayne received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and in 2001 he received his Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Systems. Both were acquired at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.
Ronayne is also a member of SAE.
