David Korenchuk

David Korenchuk is a Director of Engineering in the PG1 HVAC Core Engineering Department at DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM), DENSO’s North America Headquarters. Located in Southfield, Michigan, his primary responsibility is to guide the PG1 Thermal Systems Performance Development among the Simulation Department, HVAC Detail and Design Department and NVAC Development Department.

Korenchuk joined DIAM in 1998 as a Design Engineer working with Honda. He was responsible for the detail design and performance development of the front and rear HVAC units, condenser, underbody water pipes and A/C system. During this time Korenchuk developed the first center console mount rear HVAC in DENSO history.

In 2006, Korenchuk accepted an overseas assignment in Italy as a Senior Manager for Powertrain Cooling Program Management for Fiat and Cooling Systems R&D. He returned in 2017 and was appointed Senior Manager for Cooling Systems R&D and Business Expansion. In 2018, he was promoted to Director of Cooling Systems R&D and Condenser Design before assuming his current role in 2019.

Korenchuk served in the US Army Reserve where he worked with counterintelligence before joining DIAM. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan.
