Mike Winkler is vice president of DENSO’s North American Purchasing Group, located at DENSO International America, Inc. in Southfield, Michigan.
Winkler joined DENSO Manufacturing Michigan, Inc. (DMMI) in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1990 as a buyer for materials, repair and operations. In 1998, he was promoted to section leader, supervising buyers for plastics and functional components. Winkler was promoted to manager of the Production Parts team in 2005, and in 2007 was appointed director for all DMMI Purchasing. Winkler became deputy functional leader for Purchasing at all thermal plants in North America in 2013.
In 2015, Winkler was promoted to his current role as vice president of DENSO’s North America Purchasing Group, leading North America Purchasing for all business groups of DENSO. In this role, he creates strategies to help support the growth of DENSO North America and enhance supplier relationships.
Prior to working for DENSO, Winkler worked at Zenith & Zenith Data Systems in purchasing.
Winkler earned a Bachelor of Arts from Benedictine University (formerly Illinois Benedictine College) in Lisle, Illinois.
