DIAM Reform Activity: Quality Learning Plans for DIAM Engineers

As part of Reborn 21 and DIAM Reform team efforts, we’re improving our approach to engineering training and development across North America. Short-term improvement actions include providing a comprehensive Quality-related Learning Plan for all DIAM new hire engineers and current engineers to be completed by the end of 2021 Fiscal Year (March 31, 2022). Long-term improvements will include expanding this curriculum, along with a tool and clear process, to support ongoing training, development, and career pathing at DENSO.

Below is more information about these Quality Education courses, including who should complete which courses, when completion is necessary, and the duration of each course.

Who Should Complete Training:

  • In the list of courses, you’ll see what training courses are required for current engineers and new hire engineers in PG1, PG2 and PG3.
  • Optional recommended training courses are also available to review with your manager as part of your individual development plan (IDP).

When to Complete Training:

  • New Hires must complete the required training within 6 months of their hire date, unless otherwise instructed by management.
  • Current Hires must complete the required training by the end of 2021 Fiscal Year – March 31, 2022.

How to Complete Training

For Mandatory Online Courses:

  • Login to Oracle Fusion
  • Click on Learn Center
  • Click on My Active Learning
  • Click on the Learning Plan titled: Quality Related Learning Plan (You may have more than one Learning Plan)
  • You will see the courses in your Learning Plan(s)
  • You must take any course that does not have a Status of “Completed”
  • Click on the Play button to launch the course

For Recommended Courses:

  • Login to Oracle Fusion
  • Click on Learn Center
  • Click on Search Page
  • Enter the course name in the Search field
  • Click on the class name
  • Click on Enroll
  • You will then have the option to play the course, or you can find the course in My Active Learning to complete at a later date

For Instructor Led Courses:

  • Contact the instructor directly to indicate your interest in the course.
  • Instructor led course dates will be scheduled by associate and department need.
  • When a date is scheduled, those interested will be notified and will receive information on how to access the training.
  • Upcoming instructor led training will also be promoted on internal channels: DENSO Mobile, DENSO TV, and DIAM Friday Email.

Reset Your Oracle Password:

  • From the Oracle Sign In page, click Forgot Password.
  • You will receive a password reset email from Oracle
  • Follow the directions to reset your password and login to Oracle.
