DMMI – March 30 Update: DMMI Response to COVID-19

Here’s an impressive number—50,000. That is the number of service parts our Hill-Brady Warehouse and other on-site teams shipped last week. With an all-volunteer staff, they have manufactured more than 1,100 different part numbers and made all of our shipments. Thank you so much for supporting the continuation of our essential business.

This week, DMMI will remain relatively quiet, running essential operations staffed with volunteer associates. We appreciate everyone’s efforts!

• NO CASES AT DENSO IN BATTLE CREEK
  As of Monday, March 30, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases at DENSO facilities in Battle Creek. DENSO is committed to transparency while protecting the privacy of personal health information. Confirmed cases are on the rise in Calhoun County and surrounding areas, but the Health Department has not contacted DENSOto alert us to possible exposure. If we are alerted about an employee in any of our facilities undergoing testing, our Medical team is following up appropriately to ensure we have as much information as possible to protect our team.
• DMAR, SPARC ASSOCIATES SAFE AFTER TORNADO HITS JONESBORO
  Jonesboro, Arkansas, a community home to many of our fellow associates at DENSO Manufacturing Arkansas (DMAR) and Systex Products Arkansas (SPARC), was hit by a major tornado this weekend. No DMAR or SPARC associates were injured; please send your warmest wishes to our colleagues as they take on the additional challenges of rebuilding their community during a pandemic.

  Can TEP associates use PTO if they have not yet reached 90 days of service?
  This rule has been temporarily suspended. Please contact your leader to request PTO for this week.

  How will part-time associates be paid?
  Associates not required to work will receive 80% of their base wages, and can also use PTO for hours up to their regularly scheduled hours. Scenarios for associates who are required to work on-site have been detailed for leaders.
