Our core is our people. They bring special strengths and skills to the work bench every day. They drive our success. For Dionna, she brings a strong quality first mindset to work and keeps quality first at her core:
“In a nutshell, I perform Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and electrical tests for DENSO customers. I do my best to understand requirements, ask questions, keep setups organized, and document, document, document! It’s essential for testing to be documented WELL! This is the quality work I take pride in.
Well documented testing allows me, my management and project handlers to determine what was done, when it was done, and if there were any issues during testing. If there were issues, documentation will show the countermeasures I took, replacement parts used, and any delays that occurred. At times, our internal customers have questions in regards to setup or the testing process, so it’s important to be able to retrace my steps.
My manager and project handlers have recognized me for great attention to detail, and the quality of my setups and documentation. When I’m recognized for putting quality first, it makes me feel confident in my work, and that I’m continuously headed in the right direction. I want to set the standard for what should be done. It starts with us. I feel we, associates, are the wheels on this vehicle that is DENSO. Just as DENSO manufactures high quality parts, we have to be its high quality wheels: to take you on a smooth and safe ride for years to come! If we do not do our job, that vehicle cannot move forward.
Overall, it’s important to strive for a quality environment. Whether it is testing or whatever the situation may be; if there’s room for improvement, improve it!”
